03 Jul 2023 --- Sriracha lovers are still feeling the heat of the hot sauce shortage, which is now in its second year. Drought in Mexico has resulted in a scarcity of chili peppers – specifically red jalapeños, the raw material of sriracha – leading Huy Fong Foods, the California-based maker of the condiment, to scale back its production.
